Painted Turtle Illustration DBA Firefly Sky Design
Posted by Leane Morin (co-owners) Katherine Parker (co-owners) & filed under .
Hello! I am Leane Morin, a watercolor illustrator who has lived in Maine all my life. Firefly Sky Design features vibrant, heartfelt images on greeting cards, magnets, stickers, notepads, and other printed goods. I am inspired by so many things, but I am most moved to the painting table by quotations, animals, and nature. I believe in the power of words and images to inspire, uplift, and connect us all. It’s the motivation behind the work that I do.
Cheers and warm wishes from Augusta!

Becky Wright works with stoneware clay on the wheel to create three handmade collections: Tableware, Kitchen and Home Decor. Becky is greatly influenced by landscapes and skylines. These horizons and seascapes inspire her glazed works as she overlaps two colors to let the lines blur, creating intense color combinations with depth and alluring details. All the pottery is dishwasher and microwave safe and intended for everyday use. Becky lives with her family in South Portland, Maine and has her studio in her home.
Benoit’s Design Co.

Benoit’s Design Co.
We are Benoit’s Design Co, a small shop of designers & makers, founded by Greg and Christina Benoit. Our ethos comes from the original Benoit’s, a staple store in Maine known for its quality products and great customer service. The original Benoit’s was started by Greg’s great grandfather in 1898 and closed its doors in the 1990s.
The inspiration behind what we do comes from our passions for adventure, as well as designing and making things. Our product line began with our Casco Bay coastal chart panel, which was simply developed to celebrate the place we live. Now, we curate a large line of charts and maps that feature locations around the globe. We have found that our connection to places have fueled most of the inspiration for our products. This can be very direct, as with our maps, but also more subtle, through our apparel, décor and other curiosities. We create and curate products to help people tell their story and celebrate their passions.

Many of our luxurious products start with rich milk provided by our extremely well cared for Dwarf Nigerian Goats. We source as many ingredients as we can from Maine. All ingredients are sustainably sourced, many are organic. We only use essential oils for fragrance, our customers know exactly what they are putting on their skin. Our products are hand crafted on our farm and packaged in recyclable packaging.
HEIRLOOM LURES
Posted by CHRISTOPHER AUGUSTUS & filed under .
My lures are reproductions of antique patented wood fish lures created from about 1900 to 1950. This was the heyday for wood lures in the united states. Before 1900 there were no wood fish lures, they were mostly metal, glass or ceramic. By 1950 plastics had taken over and dominated the market. So that fifty year period was the golden age for wood fish lures. This was also a uniquely American experience and qualifies as an American art form. Pure Americana.
Each lure is turned on a wood lathe painted and assembled by the artist. The lure comes in a beautiful wood presentation box with a written history and a copy of the patent drawing.
As a gift for your favorite fisherman or collector these lures will inspire and create conversations for generations, an Heirloom Lure.
The perfect gift for your favorite fisherman.

I have been a Mainer all my life, even making my way back to the house I grew up in. This woodsy retreat is home base for Earth Metalworks. My studio in the woods is surrounded by tall pines, star filled skies, and an abundance of wildlife. Deer, fox, hawks and coyotes are right out my back door while being just a few miles from the ocean. I walk the beach almost daily, breathing in the salt air and always keeping an eye out for my seal friends and various sea birds. Mother Nature gifts us with some of the best inspiration.
