Located in central Maine, Lupine Knits is a locally owned custom knitting business which offers a variety of hats, mittens, sweaters, and socks. I love to knit, but more importantly I LOVE TO KNIT!! I knit custom knit hats, custom knit mittens and custom knit socks using unique textiles.
After moving to Maine in 1988 and having children in 1989, 1990 and 1995, my goal was to stay home and raise a family. I learned about knitting machines and contract knitting, and then started my own knitting business, Made Especially For You.
The winters in Maine are challenging at times, so knitting was a way to relax and regroup. The more I knitted for other businesses, the more I wanted to design and knit for myself. Over the years I have sold machines and given knitting classes and working at house parties where you could custom design your own garments. I now only knit for my business, and sell at the The Lupine Cottage in Belfast, ME and through my website.
The Lupine Cottage is my dream, and I spend a lot of my time there. I have a machine at the shop that allows me to produce, demonstrate, and teach what I do.

As an Eleven year old, I started experiencing blood vessels popping underneath my skin on my legs and only my legs. This condition usually lasts for up to 6 months and then goes away but it has now been 12 years of increasing breakouts and pain without much avail. I had been to every doctor and tried many different approaches to figure out what could be happening and how to solve it without much success. I was on pharmaceutical drugs for years and once I realized they were only covering up the problem, I stopped taking them and set out to find a way that would actually heal the problem. Life keeps going though, so once I was in college at Massart in Boston I discovered my love for textiles and fibers. In school we only used chemical dyes and I immediately noticed my body did not like them, so I started asking about natural dyes and was recommended some books to read and was offered more support when I moved back to the woods of Maine and transferred to The Maine College of Art my sophomore year. From then on, I have only used plants to color my textiles. Once I began that exploration is when my medical approach started to shift to more natural and herbal practices. It wasn’t until 2016 when I thought I stumbled upon a new discovery when I realized that the plants I’m using to dye clothes with can also be used to heal us, thus the healing garment was born! Although, I am proud of my intuition for connecting to this truth, healing with clothing has been practiced in Ayurvedic medicine for 5000 years but this healing alternative is the one thing I have found the most success with. The process of creating them brings me much peace, harmony, and health as well.

In 2016 Sullivan Harbor Farm went under new ownership, with one of the original founders taking over management and production of the facility. The former owner fell out of favor with the regulatory agency – the FDA that oversees seafood production – resulting in a shutdown of the seafood production during 2016. The new owner – with the devoted support from an outstanding crew, guidance from state and federal regulators and many loyal members of our community – has successfully reopened the business. It was a challenge fraught with many hurdles, but with tenacity, focus and a belief in ourselves we are back in business!
Producing the freshest, tastiest smoked seafood around we have stuck to our guns with our old world artisanal curing and smoking techniques while never compromising. We are bringing back our loyal customers and introducing new friends to the award winning products that Sullivan Harbor Farm built it’s 25 year reputation on. We are excited about what the future brings to the business where all we know is fresh! And let’s face it, when a smokehouse sources the freshest Atlantic salmon available straight from the Bay of Fundy, uses sea salt for curing and smokes using natural hard-woods, how can we go wrong!
We’re Smokin’….Our nationally recognized smokehouse produces our award winning smoked seafood products in our state-of-the art, HACCP approved facility. We successfully fuse today’s food technology needs with the old world, artisanal methods which have become Sullivan Harbor Farm’s legacy. Along with purchasing through our retail shop/tasting room, our discriminating customers nationwide can also order online and we ship using UPS and Fed Ex.
Located on the Downeast Passage on the coast of Maine in Hancock Village, we are within a short distance from Acadia National Park. Visit our smokehouse and tasting room jam-packed with Maine Beers/Wines and Authentic Maine Foods produced here in Maine.

My Gramma taught me to knit, and love fiber. Grew up with animals, and worked on farms since a kid. Sought a farm in NZ who would take me on to train, and go to shearing school, learned grass based animal Ag., spinning, dyeing, LOVE of wool craft and breeding. Did an advanced degree in Ag. and Resource Economics. Bought my farm in 1990. Developed the Seacolors Yarnery in 1994 for yarns and sweaters, expanded to blankets in 2000. Only Polwarth breeder on the continent. Restored a full manufacturing chain thru subcontract in 2010. I GET MY INSPIRATION FROM NATURE, and make small batch colors, that just make us all feel better all around. My life has been dedicated to growing and making wool as the perfect climate corrector, for oh so many reasons! Becoming VERY relevant, FINALLY! Farm to Textile’s time has come.

My name is Sarah, and I am the designer and owner of a world called Vintage Earth, which I operate out of my studio in Southern Maine. I have been designing and selling jewelry for several years, and started Vintage Earth in 2002.
Rocks, glass and metal are just a few of my obsessions. I love to mix color and texture, to blend earthy with elegant. I draw much of my inspiration from nature, and I have a particular fondness for old world and Bohemian elements, and often work them into my designs. I love to combine eras and elements, to really mix it up! My work has been featured on many websites, including Bella Online and Style Bakery. I also am a state juried member of the Maine Made program.
My designs sell well in a wide range of retail settings, from hip boutiques to artisan galleries to traditional gift shops. Many of my pieces are one-of-a-kind, while others are limited edition, available in small quantities. If you would like multiple quantities of a particular one-time item, please let me know and I may be able to accommodate you.

We started Casco Bay Creamery 6 years ago to bring old fashioned, good for you, REAL butter back to your dining tables.
Just a couple of crazy folks with a mixer in a church kitchen whipping up small batches of deliciously playful butter.
Our story and mission remains the same: to support small, family dairy farms, and to craft the BEST Butter & Cream Cheese.
What we didn’t realize back in the church kitchen days was how our butter journey would lead us to expand our product
offerings to help fill the dairy case and meet the needs of our customer which was the catalyst to transition from
Casco Bay Butter to Casco Bay Creamery.
We continue to be grateful and amazed by the support of our customers. We are excited to share this transformation
with you and so grateful to have you continue taking this journey with us. Stay tuned for new adventures to come!
It’s a honor to be in your refrigerator, part of your recipes and on your dinner tables.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
~Alicia, Andrew, Sue & Jennell

At Shaw & Tenney we are committed to hand-crafting the world’s finest wooden oars and paddles. As the second oldest manufacturer of marine products in the United States we continue building our legacy through time-honored traditional craftsmanship. We make our products just as we did in 1858 – to last a lifetime.
Since 1858, Shaw & Tenney has quietly made a name for itself as the leading maker of wooden oars, paddles, spars and boat hooks in the country. Never one to boast or brag, we’ve preferred to let our products speak for themselves — each meticulously designed to deliver years of enjoyment on the water, and equal admiration for their hand-crafted beauty when off. From our simple workshop on the banks of the Penobscot River, our craftsmen still employ time-honored manufacturing traditions that may seem old-world by today’s standards, but are the only way to render a product worthy of our name, and your trust.
