Mrs Knitter Designs

Moving back to Maine, where they claim its “The way life should be…”, the time seemed right to begin sharing the designs that have been collecting in my notebooks. Over the past few years I have knit lots of garments of my own design for friends and for sale. These designs have been so well received that now my dear husband, Stan is willing to publish them so that others can knit them, too.
Prior to returning to Maine, Stan and I were visiting in Boston and had the opportunity to see Ann Weaver displaying her designs in a local yarn shop. As she arranged her trunk show, she talked to us about how she began to share her patterns and develop her books. Stan left the shop thinking, “we could do the same with Donna’s designs!”
As you check out my website you will find designs inspired by nature, architecture, pottery and even the logos of my favorite coffee house or sports teams. Check out the product pages for clues to each design’s inspiration.
The Mrs Knitter Designs name evolved from my long-standing email address mrsskr@gmail.com. I chose this name because I love being Mrs. Stanley K. Ritchie. Stan has offered to be my business manager, so I can knit, knit, knit! Isn’t he sweet?!
I trust you’ll enjoy what you see here at Mrs Knitter Designs.
MoonCrazy Fibre Arts
Posted by Diantha Bleau & filed under .
We make handmade soaps and felted soaps, handspun and cottage spun yarns, and handknit items made from our own Angora rabbits and sheep or from other Maine fiber producers. Our handmade products start with the animal – we take the shorn wool (or plucked angora fiber) and process, dye and either hand-spin or have it cottage spun locally. We use organic and natural dyes, some of which we sustainably harvest or grow ourselves. Our products are sold at many craft shows throughout the state of Maine, as well as several retail outlets in New England.
