MugBuddyCookies, Inc.

ss

MugBuddyCookies specializes in handcrafted 3-D cookies that sit on a mug’s rim – a buddy for your mug! Our Mug Buddies inspire whimsy, spark imagination, and bring delight to everyone who has seen them.

Mug Buddies are available as miniature houses, flowers, butterflies, lobster traps, lighthouses, and more. Every cookie is made from scratch in our kitchen in small batches, using only the finest ingredients, locally sourced whenever possible. Our original recipes offer traditional flavors like gingerbread as well as gourmet options such lemon lavender and coconut lime. Each Mug Buddy is then decorated and assembled by one of our icing artists with the highest attention to quality and detail. Our greatest compliment is “They are almost too cute to eat!”. “Just wait until you taste them!” we respond. We received so many requests from our fans, we had to release Mug Buddy Bites – perfectly packaged bags of bite sized cookies available in all eight of our scrumptious flavors.

Mug Buddies are perfect for memorable gifts, souvenirs, events, favors, and “just because”!

Maine Wooden Buoys

ss

We make lobster pot buoys out of Maine white cedar – just like Maine lobstermen used to use before using Styrofoam today.

Each buoy starts as a 6 or 8 foot cedar pole. It is then cut into “blanks” (8 and 12 inch lengths) and allowed to dry for a couple of weeks. They are then cut into the buoy shape and allowed to dry a bit longer. A wood tail is then inserted in the butt of the buoy. The buoy is then sanded, primed and sanded again. It is now ready to design and paint.

We make buoys as well as centerpieces (buoys without tails so they sit flat). All products are available with either a gloss finish or stressed to look old and used. They are all available with either a 100% leather strap or a hole drilled with rope.

We are also able to customize your buoy. With our new vinyl cutter, we are able to put just about anything on your buoys. Letters, numbers, shapes, designs or anything you can think of (within reason of course).

Custom orders are always welcomed. Just let us know what you are looking for and we will see what we can do.

Maine Wooden Buoys can be found at a wide variety of retailers and on-line stores. A complete list can be found on our website, WWW.Mainewoodenbuoys.com.

We have a wide variety of colors available – several shades of blues, reds, greens, yellows – just about any color under the rainbow.

Let’s see what your imagination can do!!!

Maine Shellware LLC

ss

Welcome to Maine Shellware! We are Maine’s original company that utilizes reclaimed lobster, mussel, & clam shells to create one-of-a-kind and notable jewelry and home goods. We also incorporate abalone and mother of pearl shells in some of our jewelry line as well. We source our shells from local restaurants and seafood processing plants, which in turns keeps them from going into landfills or back into the ocean. Artisans Amy Douglass & Nicole Klam hand lay all of our shells, ensuring that each piece is unique. We love what we do and we hope you’ll enjoy your little piece of Maine!

Maine-ly Wool Mittens

ss

At Maine-ly Wool Mittens I use only up-cycled wool and fleece for my mittens and liners. I believe that helping the environment is a responsibility that we all share. By visiting local thrift shops and yard sales I help to reduce the amount of materials going into our landfills. I give new life to an old tired sweater by creating a one of a kind pair of mittens or slippers. In addition I take all the scraps that are too small to be used and donate them back to my local Goodwill where they are used in many different ways such as sound insulation in car doors and padding in airline seats.

Maine Homestead Inc.

ss

We started with a bag of cucumbers from my grandparents garden, fell in love with canning & Maine Homestead was born!

Maine Homestead started as a way to use up the bumper crop of cucumbers from my grandparents garden in 2011.
After realizing that we could never eat the 100 jars of pickles we’d made and enjoying looking for new recipes to try, we decided to try our hand at farmers markets and craft shows. We moved from there into wholesaling, placing our pickles and jams in over 500 stores all over the country!

In 2017 we opened our own retail location in Lyman, Maine selling our products as well as a selection of exclusively New England made products from gifts to meat, dairy beer and wine and fresh in season produce.

Thanks to all the local support we have had an amazing start and look forward to continuing to create great local food for our community!

Hilltop Handspun

ss

The yarns in my shop are made from alpaca, mohair, wool and angora fleeces that I hand select from Maine and New England fiber farms and are spun at a local mini-mill often on a fleece by fleece basis. Some white yarns I use for dyeing, including my sock and lace weight yarns, are purchased from larger companies.
Beautiful colors, which are inspired by the local mountain environment, come to life during the hand dyeing process in my kitchen.
Many of the dyes are home made from plants harvested from my gardens and fields. Other dyes are non-toxic and safe for the local watershed.
Solar powered electricity and solar heated hot water are used to offset energy use during the hand dyeing process.
