We manufacture large capacity bird feeders out of native white cedar.
After experimenting with different species of wood including Western Red Cedar, Eastern White Pine, and Eastern White Cedar, I have chosen White Cedar. It is a soft wood, but holds up to the weather conditions well.
All cedar used for our Wooden Bird Feeders is grown in Maine. The cedar is cut in the Patten area of Maine and trucked to the mill that saws it. This mill is local and I purchased it in the rough as dimensional rough lumber.
I do not use wide boards in building these feeders for two reasons. Wide boards tend to cup and secondly, the mill owner does not tend to have stock that wide because of the availability of large trees.
All 1 5/8 x 1 5/8 stock is re-sawed and planed. All wide components are glued with West System Epoxy and then planed to size. This epoxy preforms well in all outside environments and types of weather.
I use 90% select cedar in our bulk feeders. The screw fasteners are stainless steel as is the piano hinges. The brads are galvanized. The Optix plexiglas is made by Plaskoline and has a thickness of .098 inch. The copper used is a grade called ‘turn brown’ which weathers to a dark brown patina.
All stains, if you wish, are Cabots and all varnish is Epifanes high gloss clear.
The result is the highest quality hand made Wooden Bird Feeders on the market today. I personally hand select each component for every feeder I build so that you can trust each and every feeder is built as well as they look.

Bunting Hill Arts jewelry is created with my own hand formed Flamework Glass Beads, and Vitreous Enamel with my own Metal Smithed Components. I work in Fine Silver, Sterling Silver, Jewelers Bronze, and Copper. I create my own metal textures and patinas by hand, these include forging, rolling, etching, flame painting, metal stains and oxidizing. My pieces are one of a kind or limited edition. I source my glass rods for bead creation from the Pacific Northwest, Italy, and Germany. My metals are recycled wire and sheet from this country. I also utilize both up-cycled, vintage, and modern components from wherever I find them (Always fun to repurpose cool stuff!!) I make Earrings(my first love), Bracelets, Pendants and Necklaces.
From the rocky coastline of Maine, I search for uniquely formed pebbles, shell bits and sea glass to create Pebble Art. My most popular are the Pebble Families, Bride & Groom and Pebble Pets, all featuring a heart-shaped moon. Each is finished in a wood box frame.

Glass Paradox artware is hand-painted in rural Maine. Starting with blank stemware that is selected for it’s functionality and ability to withstand the painting and curing process, Amy hand-paints her own designs on each piece. Once painted, the glass needs to set for 24 hours before it is heat cured, bonding the design to it’s glass canvas. No two pieces are exactly alike though a set of any design will compliment each other with minimal variation. The finished artware is hand-washable and able to be used daily with proper care.
Inspired by everything and anything, designs range from abstract and contemporary more traditional, all colorful and fun.
