Overview

I love to combine textures, materials and colors to create unique and functional wearable art. It all starts on Shearing Day when my small herd of alpacas happily donate their fiber to be sorted, cleaned, spun, dyed, knit and woven into warm and useful items ranging from felted soap to scarves and shawls, puppets to ponchos, fringed hats and cozy rugs. Alpaca is wonderful in both natural shades and dyed in a rainbow of colors. I’m also smitten with all the intricate patterns and colors possible snow dyeing silk scarves and squares, especially when you can walk right outside to get the snow!
