Overview

Jo Philipsen works with stoneware clay using the wheel and hand building techniques at her home studio in Waldoboro, Maine. Bowls are among her favorite to make: from small ring dishes to large serving bowls and even bowls using beach stones as molds! Each piece is unique and the glaze colors are inspired by the stunning MidCoast landscape she and her husband love to walk, hike, paddle and bike in. Opening a fresh kiln of new pieces will never get old!
