Overview

I first began silversmithing as a camper at Camp Wohelo on Sebago Lake in 1993. For Christmas in 1996 I received my first tools – saw, hammers, buffing machine, and a blowtorch! I continued exploring silvercraft through summers at Wohelo, and on my own during the school year. After moving to Carrabassett Valley in my twenties, I decided it was time to implement my backup plan for employment and officially started Carrabassett Valley Jewelry in 2006. Teaching swimming in the summer and skiing in the winter, cobbled together with some waitressing, just wasn’t quite cutting it.
I continually find my inspiration from being active out-doors. Some of my best selling designs are from my first year in business, inspired by fresh ski tracks in snow!
