Overview
Hillary Dow is an author and fiber artist in Maine, publishing children’s books illustrated with her wool creations. The wool used for her artwork is responsibly sourced from sheep living happily on Maine farms. Pictures come to life by needle felting works of art that Hillary photographs for reproduction in her books. In 2025, Hillary published her fourth illustrated children’s book titled Flock of Rock. Visiting schools for author visits is a delight and honor that Hillary enjoys very much, sharing a presentation about being an author, illustrator, and publisher. Each of her children’s books can be paired with a hand crafted Featured Felt, sharing the warmth of Maine wool ~ From Farm to Bookshelf.
