Overview

I’m a full-time watercolor artist specializing in coastal Maine landscapes. I grew up in Ellsworth and have been painting professionally for 25 years. Inspiration comes from my love of nature, especially exploring Maine’s many coastal trails, beautiful gardens, and scenic byways. Largely self-taught, I’ve developed an artistic voice that aims for realism, but also captures the experience of the moment.

One of my favorite things about art is how it speaks to each person a little differently.  Beautiful paintings add color and sunshine to your world, they transform an okay space into a welcoming sanctuary that makes you happy. Art evokes the nostalgia of a special person or place, reviving long-forgotten memories and feelings. It celebrates milestones and important life events like engagements, weddings, or the birth of a child. These are all real examples of stories my collectors have shared with me. I’m honored to know my art brings people joy and adds beauty to their daily lives. It makes me want to paint each day.
