Following in a long family history of woodcraft dating back to the early 1800s, I have continued in that tradition with over 30 years of various experiences in working with wood ranging from carving treenware to furniture crafting to homebuilding. Recently, I have been able to take my craft to a full-time endeavor in the design and fabrication of children’s furniture utilizing traditional joinery techniques. The native hardwoods of Maine provide the primary medium of which I create tables, chairs and stools in a Shaker and contemporary influenced style. Seats woven in colorful cotton webbing beautifully complement the figured woods of which the pieces are crafted. Through Fiddlehead Wood Arts, traditionally crafted, unique furniture and woodcraft are created that will be enjoyed for life. Category:
