FORWARD ADVANCE is an old fashioned type of board game .... and the only such game created, designed, and produced in the state of Maine. The use of red and green colors make it an excellent Christmas gift. (sorry .... we're sold out from this past Holiday season ... more games available this Spring). Players in 15 states have now purchased and are enjoying FORWARD ADVANCE. Member Profile:
This game is similar to, but not as complex as Chess. A game for two players that combines skill and strategy with luck of the dice roll. The red and green playing pieces are numbered 1 thru 6 (each player has 12) and three dice cubes are rolled in turn to determine the pieces that move. The dice roll feature levels the playing field between an experienced player and a beginner. A high number captures a lower number and returns this piece to its starting area .... where it must begin the journey across the board all over again. The winner of the game is the first player to successfully move ONE OF EACH NUMBER across the board and into his opponent's starting area. Approximate playing time is 45 minutes. FORWARD ADVANCE is an excellent game to develope and challenge the abilities of both adults and older children. This is not a fun, frolic, childish, simplistic game ... but a board game played with seriousness and intensity and passion. It resembles Chess ... and is enjoyed in much the same fashion. For durability and the appearance of rustic Maine character, FORWARD ADVANCE is enclosed in an un-finished wooden box (made of Baltic Birch plywood and Poplar dimensional stock) with brass hinges and latch hardware. Wholesale cost: $25 each. Suggested retail price: $50. Individuals may purchase directly from us for $35 each by personal check. (credit cards not accepted at this time). Since we are a small company, there may be a waiting list from time to time ... especially near Christmas. Category:
