What's New:
The Whale Warmer is our newest product in our line of comforting creatures. Like the Polar Bear pictured above, the Whale may be microwaved and used for sore muscles or to warm up. All of our products are filled with whole corn. What is unique about the Whale is that the cover may be purchased separately (no corn) and used as a hot water bottle cover. (Standard size hot water bottle not included.) http://www,mainewarmers.com/whale.htm

Know someone who could use a little bear hug? Microwave our Cozy Polar Bear for 1.5 minutes and enjoy about an hour of nurturing heat, which helps to ease muscle tension and promote sleep. This Bear will warm a bed and sooth hands and feet that are cold from arthritis or being outside in the elements.
Bears are approximately 15" x 9", weigh about 2.5 pounds, are made of soft Glenoit Berber (Made in the USA) with superior insulating qualities, and have an inner muslin lining for added insulation and comfort. The filling is whole corn - not the popping kind - and when heated in the microwave it has the aroma of a bowl of freshly popped corn. No perfumes or fragrances have been added – a plus for people with allergies. A Velcro closure allows the cover to be removed for occasional laundering. The Bears, along with our other microwave heating pads, make wonderful gifts for birthdays, house-warming, get well, retirements, teachers, Mom-to-be, co-workers, graduations, and holidays.
Microwave heating pads offer relief from muscle soreness and the chills of winter or illness. They can be used to pre-warm a bed or provide warmth while relaxing in bed without the worry of over-heating as with conventional electric heating pads.
Frozen, they become gentle ice packs to help reduce swelling and pain. Soft and easy on the skin - not like harsh cubes - they do away with the mess of melting ice or spoilage of frozen peas.
Our heating pads and ice packs are fully guaranteed. Dedicated local professionals manufacture our attractive designs. We proudly continue the Maine tradition of top quality and true lasting value.
We sell our products retail online at our Web site and wholesale to stores throughout the US and Canada. www.mainewarmers.com/retail.htm.
Maine Warmers offers specials and a chance to win a free Warmer to those who sign up to receive a monthly e-Newsletter. Please go to our Web site to sign up or contact us.

Betsy Hanscom started Maine Warmers in September of 2000, with the encouragement of friends and relatives, happy recipients of her comforting heating pads, who found relief for all sorts of ailments.
Her Sheep design received Honorable Mention in the Best New Products competition at the New England Products Trade Show - 2002 in Portland, Maine. She was a recipient of the Maine SBDC “30” Award in June of 2007.
“The first microwavable heating pad I made was for my husband when he could barely walk due to a muscle spasm in his back. He was amazed that the heat from the corn-filled cloth bag could supply so much relief while his back recovered.
Whenever I visit someone in the hospital I take a Maine Warmer instead of flowers. People are surprised and pleased with the comfort these products offer. Thank you to family and friends who encouraged me to start this business and to my customers who often write to tell me how my products have helped them!”
